UPDATE:  Louis is suffering from IVDD and is in need of surgery and stem cells at Safari.  He arrived from Austin yesterday, where he is a foster and will be staying in Houston until he is walking again.  He is scheduled for an MRI tomorrow and we will know more soon!  Please keep Louis in your thoughts and prayers until this sweet boy is feeling better!  Please consider a donation towards his treatment for IVDD. 

Meet Louis, a beautiful little chocolate dapple man with a giant heart!  Louis is a happy little guy that loves everyone and is ready to settle into a happy new life with the perfect family.  His pretty chocolate dapple coat is what sets him apart from the others but his sweet and loving disposition is even more endearing. 

He came to us from San Antonio.  Judging from the fact that he had nails broken beneath the quick, and scrapes on his back, he clawed his way out of a very bad situation.  He was very underweight, his teeth were completely rotten and infected.  The infection has created holes right into his sinuses.  He is also HW positive. He had his dewclaws removed and is a beautiful dapple.  Our guess is he was a puppy mill breeder dog and luckily escaped before he died of neglect!  He is so loving and appreciative of all we do for him.  He had to have all of his teeth pulled except 5 and now has the "snaggle toothed" appearance.  He was 8 pounds when we got him and is now one 9 pounds.
