Description: My name is Decker. I was rescued running lose and scared in the big city. I am a good fellow and very snuggly and loving. My foster mom says I have the most shiny and beautiful coat of any shelter dog. I know I am really thin but I am working on that whole heartedly. As you can see, I lost part of my tail. I can't remember how. A slamming door perhaps...or somone thought it would be funny to dock it like another breed....it wasn't. I know it is not the prettiest or longest tail, but still, I am fond of it and I wag it as hard as I can to show how happy I am to be rescued and how much I love my foster mom and everyone else. I am very good natured and get along with other dogs. I don't play too much.....too rowdy for my tastes. I prefer to nap in my my crate or snuggle in a nice cozy lap. I give lots of kisses and I just love everyone to pet me and give me lots of attention. I now have all my shots but sadly I have heartworms. They say I will be fixed up in no time, but it will take a couple of months to go thru my treatment. I will probably be all better in early March. Please check in on my progress and consider making me part of your family after I am all well.
UPDATE: I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!! Thanks to regular meals (YUMMY!) I am sleek and lean now. No longer boney! I am halfway through my HW treatment and feel great. It has hardly slowed me down at all. I am ready to be done with it and get busy living life! Maybe my new life will be with YOU!!!
