A breeder dumped four of these beauties in a wooded area. Three ran to new homes. Kyra hid in a barn with a horse and ate his feed for three weeks. She was very scared but was finally trapped and fully vetted. The lady who cared for her decided to surrender her to ATDR to find that special home where she can have the one-on-one attention she so needs and deserves. She gets along well with other dogs and children but is very guarded when strangers come near her. She’s afraid of going outside now from her trauma of surviving in a field, but she’s potty pad trained.
She was named Kyra for the female ghost in the movie Sixth Sense…she was a ghost in the barn for a few weeks the kind lady who found her said.
If you could patiently open your home and heart to this sweet baby and give her the love and attention she needs, please fill out an adoption application. She’ll be so worth it!
