Description: Sweet little Elvis was picked up as a stray with a fractured pelvis! Poor baby was in great pain so taken home and cared for by a kind shelter volunteer until ATDR could retrieve him. He's still on the mend while resting but feeling better as his tiny body is healed. We can only imagine what terrible thing happened to Elvis' little pelvis...
He's settled in quickly at his ATDR foster home, being no trouble and is getting along well with his foster brothers and sisters. He's a good boy enjoying regular meals and goes outside to potty before returning to his soft little bed and blankies.
Elvis is reasonably well behaved, although he steals shoes...blue suede or not...but never chews on them! He just wants a loving touch and a kind word for allowing you to retrieve them! Elvis was obviously someone beloved pet in the past and since no one stepped up to claim him at the shelter, he's deserving of another loving home. Still needing to heal, he won't be ready to go for another month or more, but if you're looking for a good-natured great little guy to enjoy life with, fill out an adoption application for him to consider! Elvis will be leaving the house as soon as his pelvis is healed! In the meantime, he says "Thank you, thank you very much!"
6.15.18 As Elvis has begun feeling better, he has shown signs of food aggressiveness and is possessive of his human, showing jealousy toward other pups receiving attention from her.
