Description: Goliath is a black and tan wire tweenie who has had more lives than a cat. When his elderly owner died, the adult children prompty took him to a kill shelter. He managed to charm the staff and get himself listed on several national dachshund rescue listserves where people from all over the country were inquiring about his health and safety! Once in rescue, ATDR followed up with the info found on his rabies tags to contact his former family's vet only to discover that Goliath has a long history of adventure! He is a fence climber and has no problem scaling a cyclone fence. He has already given his foster mom a heart condition when she found him in the next pasture playing with the horses! The vet also told us that Goliath has an old BULLET lodged in his thorax that was never removed - AND a hernia repair from a confrontation with a much larger dog! Despite all this trauma in his life, Goliath is the sweetest most loving boy, but he does possess a bit of wanderlust! He is great with kids and other animals and is looking for a home without too many distractions!
