Hi! I’m Daisy, the honorary Dachshund! I’m actually a young, happy-go-lucky 45-pound Treeing Walker Coonhound! I’m about 1-½ or 2 years old, so I have a lot of energy to play and I LOVE playing with my foster mom and her 2 dogs, Missy and Riley. I love to play chase and wrestle with Missy and I like hanging with Riley in the backyard. I haven’t met any kitty cats yet, but I’d probably be OK with them. I like to play fetch and I love chasing squirrels. I know how to sit and I’m working on the other commands. I’m crate trained and haven’t had any accidents in the house. I learn quickly, especially with treats as my reward. My foster mom says I’m very sweet and affectionate. OH, and I’m going to need a bunch of toys because I like to chew them up!
My foster mom has this to say about me: “There are several varieties of Coonhound and Daisy is a Tri-color Treeing Walker. She’s very tolerant and easy to handle. We also have a purebred hybrid Treeing Walker/Foxhound senior girl. She’s an amazing companion and nobody wanted her when she was in Harris County six years ago. She brings a lot of joy to our household. I was really happy we could help sweet Daisy.”
Daisy says, I'm going to need to go to a home where I have another dog near my size to run and play and spend energy with! Can’t wait until I find a loving forever home of my own! Could it be with you? If so, please submit an adoption application for me! I promise to be the best friend and companion you could ever hope to find!
