Description:

Meet Rambo. He and his best friend Mojo have been together since they were tiny puppies…their precious mom loved them more than anything. So sadly, this young woman became very ill and slipped into a coma with no hope of recovery and recently passed away. We’re not sure how long she had been hospitalized and unable to care for the boys. There were no family members who could take Rambo and Mojo so they were surrendered to ATDR. We couldn’t say no to these orphaned babies who have been sad and confused to the point of not eating well and losing some weight since their mom had to leave them. They’re now in a loving foster home where they’ll be cared for and nourished, physically and mentally, until they feel safe and hopefully secure again. Circumstances like Rambo and Mojo have experienced are very hard on pups who have never known anything but the love of an owner they totally adored.

These precious babies are completely bonded and for now having each other is the most security they feel. Rambo is fairly dependent on Mojo who comforts and sweetly watches over him…both pups are very sweet, friendly, playful, and well socialized. They came into rescue with a crate, a doggy bed, supplies and a garbage bag full of toys…it's so obvious how much they were loved. ATDR is currently bringing their vetting up to date and then they’ll be ready to go.

12.19.20 Their foster mom reports:

Mojo and Rambo want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! As seen by these precious little sweaters, their sweet mom apparently liked to dress them as twins...

These boys are good dogs. They go straight into their bed (crate) for a treat or whenever I open the laundry closet where the treats are kept. I feel comfortable leaving them free roaming in the kitchen when I'm working upstairs or when I go work out.

The boys are getting more playful and starting to show their true personalities. Mojo is a real card (does anybody use that saying anymore?). He loves to disembowel stuffed toys and tear apart indestructible toys, i.e. Kongs. The consensus is that Mojo looks like an Ewok from Star Wars but he could pass for a Wookie too, and since that is easier to say so I refer to him as "The Wookie." Mojo enjoys being loved on but he's a busy, independent boy, not needy, clingy or demanding of attention. When it comes to TV time, he prefers to lie on the other end of the same couch or even on the other couch. He doesn't lie by me (at least not yet). Rambo, on the other hand, likes to lay by me and get under the blanket. He's sweet and cuddly. He's not obsessed with destroying toys like his brother. Mojo is definitely the dominant of the two. He sometimes punks Rambo out of toys, food, etc. Rambo seems more dependent upon Mojo for a sense of security, but they are definitely bonded to each other. They lie in the same bed together frequently. If I separate them, e.g. for a bath, the one left behind will fuss. They’re very precious cute boys!

Rambo and Mojo need to be adopted together. Won’t you please consider giving both these boys another loving home…helping them become the secure happy pups they were before losing the person they were totally devoted to? If you would like to make their lives complete again, please fill out an adoption application. In no time at all they would love you more than you could ever imagine…
