Meet Penny! This beautiful girl was found running down a South Texas highway in the middle of nowhere and rescued by an ATDR volunteer who happened to be driving along. After all efforts failed to find someone she may have belonged to, Penny was welcomed into the ranks of ATDR!
Penny is now enjoying the good life in a comfortable foster home where it's reported she is house trained and good with kids, dogs, birds and kitty cats. As regards cats, she does like a good chase after one but just barks at them until she is corrected. She’s a good girl who appears to have no negative behaviors.
Sadly, Penny has tested light positive for heart worms and is facing treatment so won’t be ready to go until mid-September.
In the meantime, if you’re looking for the perfect addition to your family, please submit an adoption application for Penny. She’s a wonderful pup who deserves the best loving home out there. She’ll be well worth the wait and ready to go before you know it!
