Gunther's brother, Luther (sponsorship) can also be seen on our website.
Description: Gunther and his brother Luther were rescued from a Central Texas Shelter in mid April. Only a week into foster care, Luther was just getting used to his great new digs and had an episode of IVDD and was transported to League City to our friends at Safari. Luther hated leaving his brother behind but we felt like it was his best chance at recovery. Luther also presented with seizures once at the shelter and once at his foster home and they will do an MRI of both head and neck as well as spine to see if there is a reason for the seizures. Please keep our boy in your prayers – he has a long road to recovery ahead of him.
Gunther's foster dad report that Gunther has a disc issue in his neck which affects his front left leg and makes it nonfunctional. After a minute or two it "resets" and he moves along like nothing happened. Gunther's eyesight is limited to shadows. He is a sweetheart and is so grateful for his soft bed and tasty food. If we could find a way to solve that bulging disc in his neck that is causing his issue, he would be the perfect old gentleman.
In the meantime, sweet Gunther misses his brother and waits in his loving foster home for his brother to hopefully come back to him...
