Meet Aloysius, better known to his closer friends as “Big Al”! This handsome senior man was found as a stray and, having no microchip or ID tag, all attempts to find his owner failed. Of course when contacted, ATDR said yes! Al’s foster mom reports that he walked into her home like he owned the place, having big boy attitude and the cajones to match! He’s a sweetheart with people, but he's fierce with his much younger canine foster brother not appreciating his overwhelming puppy energy! Guess who’s the new pack leader in this foster home!
Al may be a senior but he's got the spunk and energy of a much younger dog. This little dude is always on the move...until he crashes on the couch. He loves to play fetch with a ball or toy. He's lightning fast…would be a ringer in a wiener dog race! He loves any and all toys, pulling all the toys out of the baskets and assembling them in his big doggie bed. When he’s finished he crawls in to enjoy these little friends…like ET amongst the stuffed toys in the closet!
Al is special and needs a special home with no smaller children or pets who might be disrespectful of him. He would probably do well as an only child or with another older pup who is not an alpha dog! So, if you’re looking for a little friend and companion with plenty of personality to share the good life with, please submit an adoption application for Aloysius! Life would never be boring with this little man by your side!
