Description:
Ellie is an adorable six month old standard black and tan female. She came into rescue when her family decided that her medical care was mounting and they were not sure that they would be able to continue to pay for it. Ellie has seizures and has been tested for multiple disorders, even a liver shunt, but nothing seems to be the central cause of her seizures. We are medicating her and she seems to be doing well on the Kepra and the vets are calling it epilepsy, or seizure disorder. She appears to have a normal happy life as long as she stays on her liquid medication twice a day, each 12 hours. Ellie is so sweet and good about taking her meds. She is a happy puppy and doesn't know that she isn't normal in every way. Please keep good thoughts for our girl and know that she is in good hands and will be with us for a long time.
