Description:

Archer is a very sweet little fellow who was found stray, huddling on a front porch in a suburb.  He picked the right porch because the nice people knew us and brought him to rescue.  Archer was on the streets for a long time.  He was thin, a little bare on his tail, and his nails were so long they had to be trimmed while he was asleep for his neuter.  Amazingly he did not have Heartworms and now he is gaining weight and waiting on his new family to discover him.

Archer loves to snuggle in a lap, but first his most favorite thing in the whole world is to chase a toy until he is worn out!!!  He was pretty nervous in his foster home for the first couple of days until he discovered the toy box one day and HALLELUJAH there was a BALL!!!  He grabbed it right up and came dashing in as fast as he could to his foster mom just begging her to throw it over and over.  After that, his little personality just came right out and his days of shyness were over.  He just loves his ball...any toy really!! Eventually his mom has to put it up and say "Time to REST!!"  And then he is content to settle in her lap for a cuddly nap.  Archer would probably be ok with older kids over the age of 10, but younger children make him a little nervous.  He also might accept a cat as a housemate, but we have not seen him around one so we cannot be sure.  Archer is a good boy in his crate at night and during the day but he is a very cuddly and cozy bed snuggler as well.  Once he is under the coveres next to you he does not move until morning.  So far he has been very happy using a doggie door to learn potty training and has not had too many accidents at all.  He may have been stray for a long time...but he remembers how to be a good boy in a house.

Please consider giving this sweet little fellow (once lost, hungry, and shivering in the cold) a warm home full of love, delicious kibble, soft beds, and most importantly (he whispers to his foster mom)......lovely, round, bouncy balls and toys that squeek!!!!
