Description: Rena is a middle-aged beauty that found herself in a kill-shelter in a small town north of Houston. The vet estimates her to be around 7 or 8 yrs old. When she arrived her eyes were caked shut with green stuff, she was severely dehydrated, quite thin, covered in ticks, had a fever of 103.5 and would not move. After two days of sub q fluids, and antibiotics, a tick bath and a good scrubbing and eye ointment she is coming around nicely. She has a good appetite now and feels so much better. She wags her tail and is visiting her foster brothers and sisters and doing great with everyone, but still prefers to sit at her foster mom's feet or be on the couch next to her. Rena has been through a lot and deserves to spend her golden years on the couch with someone that will love and care for her!
