Meet Eva the Diva! She is one sweet girl! Eva was sprung from an east Texas kill shelter by several volunteers who stepped up to pull and transport her to ATDR to make sure she got a second chance. Her foster parents say she is easy to love and gets along with everyone! She is particularly independent and not very needy.
Eva won't not get on the furniture - very happy to sleep on the floor on something soft and does not really care where it is. We found her in the dirty cloths hamper the other morning - the door was open and she had just had breakfast so it looked good to her! She is not overly affectionate simply because she is not used to affection. How sad is that?
She is starting to show us some of her silliness though... When she gets wound up (usually before breakfast and dinner) she runs in big circles in the living room, almost hops but does not make any noise while she is doing it - if you just ignore her she will go from room to room running in big circles until you either feed her or tell her to stop! She is very low maintenance - does not mind the other dogs or the cats - just kind of hangs out and putters around on her own schedule. If you have a special place in your heart for an older dog - this is a true winner!
