Update: Roxie has made tremendous recovery! She runs through the house, through the doggie door and throughout the yard! Occasionally, she’ll wobble along, but that doesn’t slow her down! She is a love bug and wants all the love. But she will positively adore you! She is quite smart and learned how to use the doggie door the first evening in her new foster home. She is alpha but teachable—I’m teaching her to be not so underfoot in the kitchen! She is improving. She will make a wonderful single dog or with a companion who won’t complete to be alpha.
Meet Roxanne - she was surrendered with a back injury that caused her to lose use of her back legs. She is currently under the care of a vet that is working on her injuries and hopes to have her up and walking again soon! Roxy needs lots of TLC and therapy! Please consider a donation to help with her ongoing recovery!
Roxy loves to play with soft stuff toys!!! Even though she can not walk with out a wobble it doesn't slow her down. Roxy is a very strong little girl that loves to be the alpha dog. I think she is about 2 yr. old and weights about 15lb. She is a short golden red dachshund, very pretty! She plays with everyone in her foster home and nothing holds her back. She will try to climb steps even though she is not supposed to so I have to keep a close eye on her. Please keep Roxy in your thoughts and prayers!
