Rachel was found running down a busy freeway by a wonderful samaritan who picked her up and brought her to the shelter. She's a very happy, affectionate girl who wants to be with her person. Rachel has done well on the "spa diet" and is at her appropriate weight of about 12 pounds. She is a VERY active dog. She needs to be in a family with at least one other active dog to keep her company. She does really well with other dogs. Her only flaw is she loves you so much and wants to love you ALL the time. We don't know how she is around small kids yet although she has been around older kids and does great. She barks when a stranger is at the door and it takes her a little while to adjust to a new person after being reassured the person is a friend. Although our car trips have been minimal, she does well in the car. She is house trained with only an occasional accident. Rachel definitely needs to be an inside dog, after about 5-10 min outside she is ready to go back in. Rachel is not kennel trained, and does make a fuss when crated. She LOVES sleeping in the bed with her people.
Rachel says, "remember, blondes have more fun!". She will make an awesome addition to any loving home.
