12/8/11 UPDATE - Hamlet is 17weeks old and a bouncing 5.8lbs, he's super sweet, super playful and still loves to explore! He has so much fun playing with his brother Hobey (who is also looking for his forever home). This little one is a bundle of fun and energy!

This is HAMLET, his mother (Maia) is a wire haired dachshund. Hamlet was born August 12th under horrible circumstances. Maia was homeless and had her babies at an abandoned house. Hamlet and his siblings were only a few hours old when they were rescued, they were very small and in danger. The babies had to be given puppy CPR to assist in their breathing from the heat and were given sugar water for hydration. After weeks of loving care they have flourished into wonderful, happy and healthy little babies. Hamlet is the one I call the little adventurer, he is always bouncing around looking for ways to explore. He's filled with silly personality, but he also loves his kisses and cuddle time. Hamlet is small, weighing 2.6 lbs and cute as a can be! Hamlet will be getting his puppy shots very soon and in the next few weeks will be ready for his forever home.
