Meet Dash, a 1 year old red doxie boy from South Texas. When rescue pulled him from a high kill shelter, he was in pretty bad shape. He came to his foster mom very malnourished, wormy, and with almost no hair! Good food and lots of love have done wonders for this sweet boy. A beautiful soft chestnut coat is coming in, and he is happy and healthy. Dash loves to play with toys and loves other dogs. He weighs about 10 lbs. and has the cutest big ol' feet you have ever seen. He will do best in a home with at least one other doxie sibling that likes to play, because he is a PLAY MONSTER!! But after a good play session, he would love to snuggle up beside you on the couch. Although he is a year old, he still acts and looks alot like a puppy. He is a bit timid around humans and likes to bark at strange things, but this precious little boy is growing more and more confident in his foster home. Dash is learning his house manners - he is quite in his kennel at night and making good progress on potty training when kept on a regular schedule. He is current on vaccinations, neutered and Heartworm negative. Dash has had a rough start in life, but he is on the fast track to being a happy go lucky, carefree boy!
