Bernie was an owner surrender to a local shelter when the owner could no longer care for him.  He was crushed and depressed and missed his people!  Bernie is very needy and used to being the center of attention!  He misses the one on one that he had with his owner and can't believe he has wound up so down on his luck!  Things began to turn around when he was sprung from the shelter but even though he is bonding with his foster family he prefers a quieter lifesytle and longs for the good old days when he was King!  He is fully vetted, neutered, heartworm negative and has had a dental.  He is 6 years old and weighs 17 lbs.  He is moderately active.   Please help Bernie find the right spot for himself.  He is so loyal and wants so much to please his owner!  Bernie is a beautiful black and tan standard male - the real deal!!!  Please help Bernie find the home of his dreams!

Bernie loves women!  He is quite the Romeo and would love a family where he is douted on my a lady!  He would be her loyal protector and be with her through thick and thin!  Won't you help him find that home?
