Description: Elliot is just a love bug, he wants a lap most of the time - but if there is a knuckle bone around he will spend some time chewing on it by himself. Other than that he’s right with you and loves to sleep in the big bed. He really doesn’t like a crate and doesn’t seem to need one. Unlike most of my own dachshunds, he does fine with the run of the house while I’m gone.
Elliot is probably 6 or 7. He was found as a stray and some people took him in to keep him safe as long as they could and then he came into ATDR. Elliot has been vetted, micro-chipped, neutered and he is heartworm negative! The poor boy was shy when he came here at first - but he had been dropped off by the people that rescued him at our vet, stayed there two days, and then came into a foster home where six other dogs lived. It didn’t take long and he loved everyone. We’ve had company over and he never even blinked, so I really think he’s adjusted well. Elliot was just scared at first and came out of his shell really well. He likes the other dogs ok but would do fine by himself, too. He really just wants to be with his human.
Again, Elliot is just one of the sweetest dogs we’ve had in foster and is really easy to care for. He has a dark red, short coat with some black hairs on his back and has the cutest face!
