Description: Are you looking for a charming prince, a loyal companion, a faithful friend? Well look no further. This handsome prince is all this and more! Prince Alvis is a black and tan, long hair, 9 mo. old dachshund boy that weighs about 13 pounds. He is what we call a “Velcro dog”; he bonds with his people quickly and never leaves their side. When his foster mom is cooking dinner, he is laying nearby. When she is sitting on the couch, he is there. When she goes to the powder room…you guessed it …he is there. He sleeps quietly in his kennel beside his hoomans at night, but also LOVES to sleep in the big bed where he can be closest to his people. Prince Alvis was dumped at a small shelter, through no fault of his own. He was left there to pine away for his hooman. This little guy is just about perfect and he is very smart! After only a couple of weeks in his foster home, he is pretty well house trained. He learned the doggie door in just a day and uses it like a champ! This sweet boy is a little shy at first when meeting people but warms up quickly. He gets along with other dogs, but really just wants to be with his hooman. He would be fine in a home with children over 12 yrs. who know how to treat animals with love and respect. He did not know what toys were at first but now loves to play with them, likes his chew toys and is learning to play fetch. He walks well on a leash and likes to take strolls around his Kingdom…(at his pace of course). Prince Alvis, is very laid back for a puppy. As you can see from his pictures he is a very handsome boy and really wants nothing more than to be close to you, roll in the grass on warm summer days, and receive the love and attention he so deserves. I promise you will not find a more loving, loyal family member. If you can provide a wonderful, loving, life long, kingdom for him to reign over, please fill out an application. He is waiting for you! Prince Alvis is current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, neutered and microchipped.
