Description: Rocky is a darling little guy who found himself in a shelter, scared and confused because his owner passed away and the family signed the dogs over to the city. He was a little shy at first but once in foster care he came out of his shell very quickly. In fact, this little guy is full of character and is a proud, confident little dachshund. He weighs about 12 pounds and is in great shape. He is toned and strong and full of activity. He loves to explore the yard but also wants to stick fairly close to his humans and loves to cuddle under a blanket on someone’s lap. His personality is just too much! He is entertaining, loving, and enjoys life to the fullest. He is in foster care with four other dachshunds and has done very well with the other dogs. He has not been tested with cats but he does not seem to have much of a prey drive as he ignores all of the squirrels running around in the yard. So far he seems potty trained and he does well in a crate while his humans are out of the house. This little ball of love is ready for his new forever home and will go quickly. He is absolutely irresistible and would make a wonderful addition to your home!
