Description: Alex landed at CAP after being picked up as a stray. Luckily ATDR was able to grab him, and he's learning the ropes in his new foster home. He was very shy at first, but even though he was worried he was still happy to sit in his foster mom's lap and give her lots of kisses! He is now starting to come out of his shell, and his new foster brothers and sisters and teaching him how fun it is to play with toys and to wrestle.
Alex is crate trained, but loves to sleep in the big bed with his foster mom! He can be crated, or he can be left loose in the house unattended and he doesn't cause any trouble at all. He has already learned to use the dog door to let himself out to go potty. He still has a little more house breaking work to do, but he's smart and is learning fast. Alex is a pretty good sized boy, he came in to ATDR a little thin, but is eating great, and should probably weigh around 18 pounds when he's done. He's an absolutely gorgeous boy, and would love nothing more than to have a forever family to snuggle on the sofa with and watch TV!
Unfortunately, Alex is heartworm positive and is going to have to go through treatment begining February - he will be ready for adoption sometime in early April.
