Tobyis a 14lb black and tan 6 year old neutered male. The only thing that comes to mind when describing Toby is, SWEET, SWEET, SWEET and SWEET. He came to us as an owner surrender along with three others. Toby is a very mellow and very quiet Dachshund. He tail goes constantly. If you look at him, even that makes him happy and he wags his little tail. Toby has had to live outdoors his entire life and seems to be in awe over the fact that he is now allowed to lives indoors, and is allowed on the couch and to sleep in the big bed.Toby is a VERY well behaved Dachshund, and loves getting attention, but does not demand it. If you pet him, he just rolls over on his back and takes it all in.

Unfortunately, Toby also came to us heartworm positive. He will be going through heartworm treatment and will be ready for adoption in approx 5 weeks. He is up to date on all vaccines. Toby would need to be in a home with older children. He has not been cat tested.

Toby is a chubby little fella that has no ill effects of the heartworm treatments. He loves to bask in the morning sunshine. He is a bit timid at times but when he wants to make himself known, he barks and barks and wags his tail at the same time. He is such a lover and snuggler. He has even been caught snuggling with the cats! Everyone that meets Toby falls in love with his sweet spirit! Toby has been a great addition to our foster family. And we know he would be a great addition to your family too.
