Honey gets her name from being one of the sweetest little girls we have ever had in rescue. She is an angel and has gone through so much in her short life. Honey was found in a big city as a stray by a wonderful couple that grabbed her up and whisked her away to the vet's office. She was practically hairless - from poor nutrition and demodectic mange. At the time of her rescue no one could even tell what color she might become when she finally got hair! After about a month - low and behold a beautiful chocolate and tan coat began to emerge! Now almost six weeks later - she is mange free and a happy and healthy girl just waiting for the right family to come along! Honey is good with all other dogs, kids and people. She is happy and playful one year old dachshund mix, looking forward to a great new home with people to love her! Honey would do best with another dog as a friend to help her learn the ropes. She acts a lot like a puppy sometimes and needs someone to give her guidance and love! Special thanks to those who can't pass by a stray in need on the streets and that recognize that there is a swan waiting to emerge from that ugly duckling!
