Little Diamond lives up to her name in every way and truly is a gem! She is so tiny – only about 7 to 8 pounds and her coat is as soft as butter. You can see how tiny she is in the picture next to her foster brother Harlee! She is about 6 years old and sadly, spent her whole life outside in a concrete pen in a backyard breeder situation. But lucky for us at ATDR, a good Samaritan contacted us about taking her in. She is so loving and so grateful to be in a warm home now! She loves everyone she meets, all her foster brothers and sisters and all the people and dogs she meets at the dog park. Her tail never stops wagging and she has the cutest little wiggle in her step. She’s learned the doggy door and is experiencing grass for the first time and she thinks it is the most wonderful thing! She just wants to be by your side all the time and will follow you everywhere and then curl right up next to you. She is the most wonderful, loving little cuddle bug!
Because of her lack of veterinary care, she was heartworm positive when we took her in but she is in her final stages of treatment now and will be ready for adoption in early February 2016. She’s also been spayed, had her dental cleaning and is up to date on all her shots.
