Meet Sweet Adeline, she is a particularly sweet and special girl. Adeline lost her home through no fault of her own and landed into a wonderful foster home where she is now the Queen Bee! This seven year old beauty is recuperating from a major dental surgery and spay, but will be ready to meet prospective families very soon. 

Adeline’s foster mom reports: This baby is a blue dachshund with the softest skin who has CDA (Color Diluted Alopecia) like most blue dachshunds. She was a puppy mill breeder in her former life but since coming to ATDR will never have to have puppies again! She LOVES wearing little dresses and shirts that protect her from the sun while also keeping her warm. She came to ATDR frightened of everything around her…noises, dogs, people, you name it…but within a week she was snuggling with her foster siblings and foster mom, running around the backyard and barking at the mailman! This smart girl is house trained and uses the doggie door all by herself! She prefers sleeping in the same room with her people and is content with a little doggie bed and a fluffy blanket to burrow under and keep her warm. There is no need to crate this little angel, she’s good as gold cuddled up on the couch looking out the window ‘til you come home. Adeline has learned quickly that humans are good, but she does cower when you bend down to pick her up or pet her. Once she understands all you want to do is love on her, she’s all about belly rubs!
