Meet Cody! This Chiweenie cutie pie loves to cuddle up in laps, burrow under blankets, and give lots and lots of sweet kisses! He’s very affectionate and gets along with most other dogs once introduced on neutral grounds. For the past several years he has lived with a sheltie and golden retriever mix and never had any problems. He would not, however, be a good match for families with young children. Though typically laid back, he is terrified of dump trucks, fire alarms and many things associated with noise and chaos and will either hide out or seek grown human companionship if confronted. This boy prefers peace and quiet and that’s certainly not too much to ask! He’s crate trained, good having a bath although not crazy about being brushed, mostly housetrained, and generally strives to please. He needs to be walked with a harness and not just a collar since he tends to pull on the leash.
5.8.21 Update: Cody was diagnosed with Cushing's Disease and is now on medication for it he will need to take permanently.
If you’re an adult household and looking for a precious guy to adore and share life with, please submit an adoption application for Cody. He’s a good boy looking for someone to love and call his own!
