Description:
Dylan says "Howdy partners"! He, Auggie, Darbie, Dudley, Dulcie, Mavis and Stanley are all settling into comfortable foster homes. ATDR recently took possession of these seven tiny Dachshunds, dubbed the “Springtime Seven,” who had been living in deplorable conditions. Sadly, their owner who passed away had been a hoarder, and the house these babies were found in was stacked several feet deep with trash and other things that should have been disposed of long ago. The pups never went outside to enjoy fresh air and sunshine; however, even with all of this they are amazingly happy, loving and well adjusted, especially considering the way they had lived before. Several also appear to be pee pad trained and some are learning to do their business outside as well. They’re now being given the loving care they seem starved for and receiving veterinary care that had gotten behind.
Dylan’s foster mom reports that he is a tiny delight! He’s a happy, loving little guy who enjoys snuggling in your lap and following you around. He’s smart and responds to simple commands like “stay” and gets along well with all the other pups in the house. He's a very busy agile little pup with a mischievous streak who is a master of monkeyshines with a particular talent for climbing so will need to go to a home with someone who won't mind keeping up with him! He's not a happy camper in a crate and will probably sleep in the big bed whether you intend that or not...but, there is nothing sweeter than a snuggly pup to keep you warm in the night! He appears to do well with a pee pad and is learning to go outside as well. He’s a great little fellow who will be a wonderful companion. He’s precious beyond words and deserves a person of his own to adore him in a good loving home. Having lost several teeth due to having had no dental care before coming into rescue, he will need to dine on kibbles soaked overnight in water.
Due to the tiny size of all these babies, it is felt they should go to homes without small children to deal with. Older, gentle, responsible kids would be okay. If you’re looking for a good-natured little guy to tuck under your arm, snuggle sweetly in your lap and share all good things in life with, please submit an adoption application for Dylan. You will fall in love instantly with any one of these delightful little heart stealers!
