Description:
Nolan Ryan was surrendered with his littermate, Justin Verlander, and several other siblings. Nolan was shy and very timid at first, but now he is loving life and sometimes even a bit full of himself as a doxie should be. He is crazy for toys and loves to tumble around with the other dogs. He has learned the doggie door and, except for a few early accidents, seems to have picked up potty traning with it fairly quickly. He is a good boy in his crate at night and while his foster mom is at work and he has not pottied in his crate. He loves his foster mom and is such a good snuggler with her and the other doxie sized dogs....such a cuddle bug!! He is still shy in new situations and with new people at first but after a couple days he is back to his confident self. He has only been on a leash a couple times so far with a harness but he seemed to get the idea fairly quickly. His fur is so soft and is lighter red and dapple coat. He is also the smaller of the two boys but not by much. Nolan can be very chatty at times and will not do well as an apartment dog. He also spent the first year of his life in an upstairs condo, so he is looking for a house and a securly fenced yard for his forever home so he can enjoy the grass and sun and smells that is is just now discovering.
Nolan seems like he would be sweet with children, but loud fast behavior can make him nervous still so he will probably prefer a calm household and (if there are any) children over the age of 6 or 7. He is getting along just fine with the other dogs in his foster home but prefers a home with dogs around his own size. It took him a few days to warm up to them also, but now he is just one of the gang.
His littermate Justin is still with him and they are the best pals with very similar personalities. They snuggle together and play together and tug toys together. They are both so sweet and will certainly adapt to seperate new homes, BUT if you ever wanted a pair of the best littermates, they would be happy to find a home together.
