Meet Willow... This precious 8-year-old girl was found as a stray by an animal shelter. She had obviously been on the streets, fending for herself and living in the elements way too long and had likely had little or no care before that. Thank goodness she's now safe in a cool and comfortable ATDR foster home where she's being well loved and well cared for and receiving veterinary care she's been deprived of for so long. Her foster mom reports that she's really shy and has been mostly sleeping since coming into rescue. Rest well sweet girl and dream of a forever home in your future...ATDR promises to do everything they can to see that better days are ahead of you. You'll never be homeless, uncared for nor hungry again.
Veterinary Report: Willow has tested positive for heart worms. She has hair loss on her caudal half of her body. Her skin is lichenified due to chronic condition and there are scabbed over sores throughout her body most likely from her previous living conditions outdoors and a strong yeast odor present. Patient is dehydrated and underweight.
Stay tuned as we learn more about Willow to report here.
