12/13/11 UPDATE: Hobey is now 17weeks old and all legs, he looks just like his mommy (Maia) and has her sweet, sweet personality. He is just a lovebug!

This is HOBEY, his mother is (Maia) a wire haired dachshund. Hobey was born August 12th under horrible circumstances. Maia was homeless and had her babies under an abandoned house. Hobey and his siblings were only a few hours old when they were rescued, they were very small and in danger of dying.  The babies had to be given puppy CPR to assist in their breathing from the heat and were given sugar water for hydration. After weeks of loving care they have flourished into wonderful, happy and healthy little babies.

Hobey is the biggest of the puppies, he weighs 3.8 lbs, he is such a good baby boy, he so sweet and loves kisses. He is a little shy, calm, playful and very sweet. He has such a beautiful coat and markings, Hobey will be getting his puppy shots very soon and in the next few weeks will be ready for his forever home. 

Sweet wire haired Mommy Maia and her four puppies were rescued on one of the hottest days on record!  The mom and pups are doing well now that they are in an ATDR foster home being cared for around the clock!  Hobey is one precious little male!  Please consider an application for one or more of these sweet babies!
