Description: Heinrich is a 15-pound, black and tan tweenie with beautiful brown eyes. He's around 6 years old. We found him as a stray in an HEB parking lot.
He loves exploring his backyard. Outside, he's always on patrol, running around like a hackney horse. He's friendly with people (but not into kissing you), and gets along well with dogs. He does not get along with kitties.
Heinrich is a real hound dog personality. He's a gentle and stubborn guy, who has medium to low energy. Walks are great! But so is staying warm and taking it easy. He loves sleeping in the big bed and wearing his winter jackets. In fact, he will try to get you to put the other dogs' jackets on him, along with his.
He is crate trained, house trained, uses a pet door, up-to-date on shots, and neutered. He lost four teeth at his dental and completed heartworm treatment. The vet says his lungs and heart sound great, so he's a healthy boy. Update 02/24/2007 - Our vet discovered Heinrich had a low thyroid level and put him on daily medication to correct this.
