Description:

Precious little Polar and his equally precious tiny brothers, Koala and Panda, were surrendered to ATDR by their owner because they were born with disabilities because of what was explained as an accidental breeding. These little ones are Double Dapple puppies and more often than not Double Dapples come into this world with health conditions because of over breeding in hopes of getting such beautiful puppies as these three. These sweet babies are happy, active little guys and have no idea anything is wrong with them! In the meantime, they are being well cared for and enjoying life in a loving foster home while ATDR has them vetted to determine to what degree they may be visually and/or hearing impaired. Pups like these can thrive in homes experienced with dogs of this nature. Stay tuned as we have more to report about this gorgeous little trio!

Polar is mostly blind, although he seems to see shadows. One eye is recessed and not fully formed and he has slightly impaired hearing, but defintely hears squeaky toys, loud sounds and high pitches. These guys play like crazy so they would love a home with another dog to help show them the ropes. They absolutely don't consider themselves handicapped in any way!
